So far the trip has been amazing and wonderful. After flying for 24+ hours we arrived at the Little Angels campus where we were greeted with flowers and scarves. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. They gave us a brief orientation about the school and also about Nepal. After the orientation they fed us a wonderful lunch.
One thing that surprised me was driving in Nepal. It seems so crazy but it actually works nicely. There are no stop signs or traffic laws- just honking. I love it but I'm glad we have a driver!
After we showered, I got to walk around and see the little shops by our "farm house"- which isn't a farm house at all (at least not what I thought it would be). It's so beautiful! It's an orchid farm and looks nothing like a farm in Cedar City would look like. It feels like an expensive resort- minus power. I love it and I am so glad that I'm here.
This morning we hiked to a Budda statue and on the way I met so many people- and by that I mean I said "Namaste" to everyone and took a lot of pictures of people and then showed them. I asked a family if I could take a picture of them and they invited me down to their house, handed me their baby and gave me their seat. They were so kind and it was so nice. I loved it so much.
